Call for Participation

The CfP ends on 27 October 2025, 23:59 CET. 

Yes, you can add co-speakers when submitting your proposal. Please note that for regular talks we usually don’t allow more than two speakers per session. 

You also have to declare all co-speakers during the CfP. Co-speakers that are added after the CfP has concluded don’t receive free conference passes and we reserve the right to reject co-speakers that are added after the CfP.

Tickets

We offer the following tickets types:

  • Early Bird Tickets – 150€
    Early Bird Tickets are only available until December 8th, midnight CET. They are reduced tickets for people who want to support us by buying early. Early Bird Tickets offer the same as our Standard Tickets, i.e. they are full conference tickets granting access to our venue bUm in Berlin on both days of the conference, with food and beverages included. 
  • Online Only Ticket– 45€                                                                                                                                                                                              Online Only Tickets grant access to the online event and live stream. Please note that this ticket does not provide access to the onsite event in Berlin and that remote participation in onsite workshop is not possible.
  • Standard Ticket – 260€
    Standard Tickets are full conference ticket, granting access to our venue bUm in Berlin on both days of the conference, with food and beverages included. Standard Group Tickets are available until March 9, 23:59 CET. After that only Last Minute Tickets at 500€ will be available.
  • Reduced Tickets – 80€
    Reduced Tickets are available for pupils, students, trainees, people on social welfare, retirees and people with disabilities. Reduced Tickets are full conference tickets, granting access to our venue bUm in Berlin on both days of the conference, with food and beverages included. 
  • Business Tickets– 550€
    Business Tickets are available for corporate customers. They are full conference tickets, granting access to our venue bUm in Berlin on both days of the conference, with food and beverages included. Business Tickets grant access to a recording of our livestreams directly after the conference.
  • Child Ticket – Free                                                                                                                                                                                                      Children under the age of 16 can come to the event free of charge. There will be a quiet room and baby changing facilities.
    Please note that we don’t provide childcare, but you can bring an additional adult accompanying the child free of charge.
  • Standard Group Ticket – 210€
    Full conference ticket, including catering on both conference days with discount of 50€ per ticket when ordering for a group of three or more attendees. Standard Group Tickets are available until March 9, 23:59 CET. After that only Last Minute Tickets at 500€ will be available. Minimum amount to order: 3

Yes! Orders of 500€ or more can be paid by invoice in the shop above. In case you have any further questions on payment options, please send an email to info@foss-backstage.de

In order to promote this diversity and inclusivity at FOSS Backstage, we have initiated a diversity tickets program. Diversity Tickets are fully sponsored (i.e. free) tickets that are available to people from underrepresented groups within the FOSS Backstage community. This includes, but is not limited to: women, people of colour, LGBTQIA people, disabled people, and people facing economic or social hardships.

The proceeds of Diversity Fund Contributions the proceeds are put in a pool to pay for Diversity Tickets. Diversity Fund Contributions enable us to use your resources to support someone who might otherwise be unable to attend.

Please note that Diversity Fund Contributions are not tickets for FOSS Backstage (event though they are sold through our ticket shop) and therefore don’t grant access to our venue in Berlin.

In your order confirmation and your payment confirmation emails you can find a link to your order details page. Use the change details button in the “Ordered Items” box to change the attendee name.  A ticket is only valid for one person and cannot be shared.

Yes as organizers we will be providing a number of free Diversity Tickets. More tickets will be added for every Diversity Fund Contribution made by tickets buyers and by some of our Partners.

Venue

FOSS Backstage 2026 will take place March 16 & 17th, 2026 at bUm in Berlin and online. Our Venue bUm is located in Berlin Kreuzberg, at Paul-Lincke-Ufer 21, 10999 Berlin

Our venue bUm is easily accessible using public transportation.

U-Bahn

  • U1 & U3 stopping at Kottbusser Tor and Görlitzer Bahnhof
  • U8 stopping at Kottbusser Tor and Schönleinstraße

Bus

  • M29 stopping Ohlauer Straße

Yes, our venue bUm is fully wheelchair-accessible. 

Yes, we are offering free wifi for all participants of FOSS Backstage at the venue.

Yes, we offer free food and drinks at the venue. Water, Tea and Coffee will be available throughout the day and we will also offer a lunch buffet, with vegetarian and vegan options included.

Videos & Recording

You can find all video recordings on our  YouTube Channel as well as on the TIB AV Portal.

The video recordings of FOSS Backstage will be made available for everyone on our public YouTube Channel shortly after the conference.
